What types of rooms are available?
□POD type - 100 pods and 24 pods on women only floor
□Dormitory - 3 rooms
□Private single - 3 rooms
□Private double - 1 room
□Family room - 1 room
□Premium room - 2 rooms
□Japanese room - 1 room
Obviously POD type is the cheapest but, not recommended if you are taller than 6'.
Plus, POD type share a common space where you put your luggage, so not perfectly secure.
For me, good parts in staying hostels is to meet new people and get to know them. This hostel may the place for it. There is a common space you can go where open for 24hours.
Price was really reasonable and staff at GRIDS help me book a restaurant and provide fairly good service.
Best ways to book
Option 1:
Go to hotels.com and search for "grids akihabara" or "nihonbashi".
Depending on where and type of room you are looking for, but I found a POD room under ¥2,000.
Option 2:
Go to booking.com and search for the same.
This website come in handy when you book many hotels, try using "My bookings page". And they do not charge you a booking fee.
Option3:
Go to expedia.com.
Recently their coupons are not handy as used to be but still one of the largest booking website.
