JR train and Shinkansen discounts

Japan Railways. (JR)

Japan Railways was privatized in 1987 from "Japanese National Railways" and divided into 6 passenger carriage and 1 cargo railway. They are "JR Hokkaido", "East JR", "JR Central", "JR West", "Shikoku Railway Companies", "JR Kyushu", and "Japan Freight Railway Company". Each railway companies operate in specific are of Japan.

So, if you are traveling throughout Japan, I recommend for you to look for each company's discount info.
